Lucy S. Vecchio's Obituary
Lucy S. (Manzi) Vecchio, 89 passed away August 3, 2024. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of Alfred and Maria (De Angelis) Manzi. Lucy had a wonderful sense of humor and liked to laugh along. She adored animals, especially her Scottie. Lucy loved shopping and going out to dinner. She was a foodie before the term was coined. Above all, Lucy loved her family. She took great care of her father who lived with her in the family home and years later, she adored her three grandchildren. She was an avid fan of Italian music, especially Andrea Bocelli, and professional wrestling, both of which continued to comfort her in her later years.
She is predeceased by her husband, Anthony Vecchio in 2002, and two brothers, Nicolas Manzi in 2003 and Julio Manzi, who passed on July 27, 2024.
Lucy is survived by three children, Anthony S. (Debbie) Vecchio, Sharon V. Michaels (Tom Gunningsmith), and Salvatore (Jackie) Vecchio; three grandchildren, Amanda, Jordan (Jasmine), and Carly; her great grandchild Kameron, as well as a niece, nephews and cousins.
