Luigi Rotella's Obituary
Luigi Rotella, 81, of Liverpool, passed away August 26, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He was born in Catanzaro, Italy, son of the late Antonio and Luigina Rotella. Luigi was an extremely hard worker. After retiring from Learbury, he continued working in real estate and home improvement. Luigi looked forward to and enjoyed Sunday family dinners, always sitting at the head of the table smiling. His beloved grandsons were the light of his life. Luigi had a beautiful voice and we were blessed when he would sing us a song.
He is predeceased by his sister, Mary “Nina” Rotella in 2020. Luigi is survived by his loving wife of 52+ years, Irene (Ferraro) Rotella; 3 daughters, Luisa M. Rotella, Teresa (Shawn D.) Lariviere and Antonella Rotella; 2 grandchildren, Jose L. Camacho and Cameron S. Lariviere; siblings, Dominick (Aurora) Rotella, Frank (Connie) Rotella, Joseph (Kathy) Rotella, Jerry (Stephanie) Rotella and Mary (Joe) Romeo; several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass in celebration of Luigi’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 4, 2020 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 6:00 pm on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
