Lydia T. (Cattroppa) O'Connor's Obituary
Lydia T. (Cattroppa) O’Connor, 90, of Cicero, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 16, 2024. She was Born in Schenectady, NY on June 14, 1934, to the late Ralph and Francesca (Mannella) Cattroppa. Lydia had a passion for cooking and baking, playing bingo and cards with friends, as well as spending time making her crafts. Most importantly, she cherished the time she spent with her family and friends at the center.
Along with Lydia’s parents, she is predeceased by her loving husband, Thomas H. O’Connor III; sisters, Marie Tucci and Deena Sherry.
Lydia is survived by her children, Patricia (David) Pendergast and Thomas H. (Nancy) O’Connor IV; her grandchildren, Tiffany (Steve) Carro, Mathew Pendergast, Thomas O’Connor V and Taylor O’Connor; her great grandson, Henry Carro, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral Mass in celebration of Lydia’s life will take place in Sacred Heart Church of Cicero at 9:30 am on Friday, August 23, 2024. Burial will follow in North Syracuse Cemetery following the mass.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lydia’s name can be made to any breast cancer foundation of choice.
