Lyn was a force of nature! I met her several years ago when I started rowing with the Chargers. She was funny, encouraging, and honest. She will be so missed; I suspect that her wonderful presence will live on in her children and grandchildren.

I can still hear you laughing, Lyn. Many times over the years and certainly at the surprise post wedding shower you co-hosted for me in 1969!! What were we thinking? When I spoke to you last month, you sounded just like you always have: optimistic and confident. You certainly haven't changed much over all these years; just a little grey hair. I wish I had made more time in my Syracuse visits to see you and Jim but I know you understand. Our condolences to the Hathaway and Markert families; you have lost a beloved, talented, smart and funny gal and Heaven has gained another angel. I hope you managed to use some of the items in the "care package" I sent, especially the great book. Please save a place for me, girlfriend.

Lyn was a friend at Rosary. Although we have not seen each other in several years, she was unforgettable. In particular, I remember her wonderful humor and straightforward attitude.
We tried to get together just recently in Syracuse with our friend Shannon, but couldn’t make it happen.

Cindy, I am so very sorry to learn of your sister's death. I do know the love you gave her must have made some wonderful memories that I hope will be a comfort in the days to come.

I was saddened to learn of Lyn's passing. "Mr. Mann", as she always referred to me, was duly impressed with her many accomplishments. She wore many hats and did so very well. The catalyst of our friendship was the Onondaga swim team for whom the Hathaway kids and the 'Mann Clann' competed. Those were the days! Jim, James, Joy, Colleen and Trevor - just know that our thoughts are with you and sincere condolences to all.
