Margaret A. "Peg" Richardson's Obituary
Margaret A. “Peg” (Madonna) Richardson, 73, formerly of Mattydale, passed away Tuesday at Upstate University Hospital. She was born in Syracuse and attended the University of Maryland at Tokyo, Japan. Margaret retired from Deluxe Checks. She was an Inspector of Elections for over 25 years in Syracuse and the Town of Salina. Peg greatly enjoyed spending time with family and friends and cherished her three grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Margaret (Albino) Madonna, and her son, William C. Richardson.
Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, James “Rick” Richardson; her daughter, Celeste (Jeff) Carmichael of Moravia; three grandchildren, Anna, Cara, and Jeffrey Carmichael, Jr., a brother, Ralph A. Madonna; four aunts, Amelia Albino, Helen Albino, Filomena (Dominick) Madonna and Francesca Madonna; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 8:00 am on Saturday at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a funeral mass in celebration of Margaret’s life at 9:00 am in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
