Margaret "Peg" (Schuelke) Rydelek's Obituary
Margaret “Peg” Rydelek, 64, of North Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at the Francis House surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Syracuse, daughter of Frederick and Florence (Himpler) Schuelke. Peg retired from Wegmans in 2013 after 41 years in Customer Service. She was an avid reader and loved to cook and bake.
She was predeceased by her father, Frederick Schuelke in 2006.
Peg is survived by her beloved husband of 32 years, Michael J. Rydelek; her daughter, Meghanne Rydelek; her son, Joseph Rydelek; her mother, Florence (Himpler) Schuelke; a sister, Barbara (Steve) Gannon of Wisconsin; two nieces and one nephew.
Special thanks to the care given to Peg by Dr. Benjamin Himpler, the HOA staff at Brittonfield, and caregivers at Francis House and Hospice of CNY, as well as the many people who participated in prayer circles for her.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Peg’s life at 10:00 am in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Liverpool. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow at Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay. Family and friends may call from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
