Margaret K. (Schmidt) Lynch's Obituary
Margaret K. Lynch, 74, of Jamesville, NY passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Upstate Community Hospital after a long illness with her family by her side. She was born in Cortland, NY, daughter of the late Herman and Pearl (Boyd) Schmidt. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, homemaker, plant extraordinaire, and all things crafty.
Maggie loved spending time outdoors, tending to her numerous flower beds and gardens. She grew the most beautiful flowers and took pleasure in growing the vegetables her family loved the most. She had the greenest of thumbs, and the most creative eye. She enjoyed trips to the Adirondacks and visiting a good museum. Margaret’s greatest joy came when spending time with her family. She cherished the time spent with “her girls” during Sunday coffee visits, shopping trips, lunch outings, and family gatherings. She was the anchor of the family and will be deeply missed.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, Andrew in 2017. Margaret is survived by four daughters, Christine (Jeffrey) Acker of Jamesville, Tracy (Jason Greene) Saunders of Jamesville, Kathleen (Charles) Flynn of Leroy, NY and Deborah (Mario) DeSantis of Camillus; three grandchildren, Trista (Adam) Kukucka, Angela (Michael) Ademovic, and Owen Flynn; a great-grandchild, Billy Kukucka; one sister-in-law, Irene VanNess, and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call from 12:00-2:00 pm on Monday, April 10, 2023, immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Margaret’s life at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. She will be laid to rest in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Jamesville.
