Margie (Santoro) Zerrahn's Obituary
Margaret M. (Santoro) Zerrahn, 83, of Fayetteville, passed away Friday at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 30, 1929 in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Dominick and Santa (Perry) Santoro. Margaret enjoyed picking strawberries and cherries on the family farm. She moved to Oswego where she was married and raised two children. Margaret was employed with Syracuse China and also Seal King Company. She loved to dance and had a great sense of humor making others laugh. Margaret was very young at heart, had a generous spirit whose presence deeply touched and brought joy to others. She loved spending time with her family, especially her two beloved grandchildren whom she cherished. Margaret was always happy go lucky and will be dearly missed.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Tony, Virginia, Dominick, John, Carmen, Frank and Augie. Margaret is survived by her two loving daughters, Anne Marie (Murad) Marji of Fayetteville and Karen L. Zerrahn of Syracuse; two grandchildren, Alexander and Zachary Marji; many nieces, nephews and cousins and her beloved cat, "Greyie".
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 9:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 10:00 am in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd. ) North Syracuse on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
Margaret's family would like to deeply thank Dr. Rao, Dr. Halleran and their staff, SICU and MICU, Floor 3, the entire staff at St. Joseph's Hospital and Hospice who cared for her.
