Maria F. (Zizza) Antonucci's Obituary
Maria F. (Zizza) Antonucci, 83, of Syracuse, passed away at Crouse Hospital on Sunday, September 20, 2015. She was born in Fragagnano, Italy, the daughter of the late Eupremio and Lucia (Gallo) Zizza.
Maria is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Giovanni Antonucci; her 4 children, Ada (Patrick) Nappi of Syracuse, Frank Antonucci of Onondaga Hill, Lucy A. (Patrick) Rodgers of Onondaga Hill and Emio (Anna) Antonucci of Jamesville; 10 grandchildren, Alissa (Aaron), P.J., Alexander, Alec, Liam, Giovanni, Owen, Isabella, Mia and Aidan; 1 great-granddaughter, Lila; 2 brothers, Frank (Anna) Zizza and Gus (Sandy) Zizza; 5 sisters, Mimi (Tony) Epifani, Teresa (Giovanni) Traetta, Antonietta (Paul) Viggiano, Anna (John) Hemans and Ada (Jim) Jerome; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Maria’s life at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
