Maria Norina (Callisto) Anzovino's Obituary
Maria Norina (Callisto) Anzovino, 97, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Molinara, Italy, daughter of the late Giuseppe and Marianna (Carapella) Callisto. Maria met the love of her life, Giuseppe Anzovino and together immigrated to the US in 1954. She worked at Julius Resnick Pocketbook Factory. Above all, Maria enjoyed cooking and spending time with her beloved family.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 66 years, Giuseppe Anzovino and her sister, Lucy Chiaravalloti.
Maria is survived by two daughters, Virginia Schulze and Carm (Michael) Frasca; six grandchildren, Anne Marie Schulze, Anthony (Audrey) Benenati, Suzanne (Gary) Cappon, Pamela Schulze, Mark (Karen) Benenati, and Michael Schulze; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Filomena Borrillo; one brother, Danny Callisto; her brother-in-law, Anthony Chiaravalloti; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Maria’s life at 11:00 am in Sacred Heart Church, Cicero. Entombment will be in Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Monday, June 18, 2018 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
