Maria (Nigro) Malorzo's Obituary
Maria (Nigro) Malorzo, 81, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Elderwood of Liverpool on July 16, 2019. She was born in Rome, NY, daughter of the late Rocco and Katherine (Tallarino) Nigro. Maria was a devoted homemaker who truly loved caring for not only her own children, but for the many children in the neighborhood. She enjoyed country music. Maria loved spending time with family and friends, especially her beloved grandchildren.
Maria is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Joseph D. Malorzo; two sons, Joseph R. (Peggy) Malorzo of Corning, NY and Arthur P. Malorzo of Liverpool; her daughter, Lisa M. Malorzo (Daniel Husted) of Liverpool; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her brother, Rocco (Delores) Nigro of Rome, NY; several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express extreme gratitude to the staff at Elderwood for the compassion and care given to Maria throughout her 3 ½ year stay.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2019 from 12 pm – 2:30 pm, immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Maria’s life at 2:30 pm at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
