Maria (DiMolfetta) Mazzilli's Obituary
Maria (DiMolfetta) Mazzilli, 92, a lifelong resident of Liverpool, passed away peacefully at her home in Kenmore, NY surrounded by her family on Monday, March 11, 2019. She was born in Bisceglie, Italy, daughter of the late Dominic and Guilia (Lopopolo) DiMolfetta. Maria, along with her husband was the owner and operator of First Log Cabin Restaurant in Phoenix, NY for many years. She loved cooking and baking for family and friends and enjoyed gardening and sewing as well.
She is predeceased by her husband, Bartolomeo Mazzilli in 1995; her granddaughter, Francesca and two siblings.
Maria is survived by her daughter, Theresa (Michael) O’Connell of Buffalo; her son, Frank Mazzilli of Syracuse; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; four siblings, along with several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2019 from 9:30 – 11:30 am at Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, 301 Ash St., Syracuse, NY, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Maria’s life at 12 (noon) at the church. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
