Maria R. Pennucci's Obituary
Maria R. Pennucci, 78 passed away on February 26, 2018. She was born on September 29, 1939 in Rincon De Soto, Spain. Maria went to Switzerland and married the love of her life, Umberto Pennuci in 1961. Together they moved by boat to the USA in January of 1969, settling in the West end of Syracuse. Maria worked at Syracuse China for 10 years until their doors closed in 2009. Maria went on to work as a prep cook at Smorol’s restaurant for 20 years until she had to retire. Maria was predeceased by her husband, Umberto Pennucci from Italy and her brother Jose Cabezon from Spain. She is survived by her daughter Maria (Louis) Pascarella, Grandchildren Pasquale(Andrea) Pascarella, Nicholas Pascarella, Judy Santana, Louis(Lorraine Stoddard) Pascarella, Anthony(Brittney Dowdell) Pascarella and Joseph Pascarella, Great Grandchildren Luigi, Melina, Khloe and Devyn, Sister in law Joyce Pennucci, Niece Mary(Kevin) Conklin, Nephew’s Jose Cabezone and Alberto Cabezon, As well as many other loving family in Italy, Spain and Germany.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 6:30 P.M. on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 P.M.
