Marianna (Leuzzi) Battaglia's Obituary
Marianna (Leuzzi) Battaglia, 93, of Syracuse, passed away March 3, 2023. She was born in Satriano Italy, daughter of the late Pasquale and Maria (Vitale) Leuzzi. Marianna worked as a seamstress for Learbury and Nettleton Clothing. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, Frank Battaglia in 2012, and her son-in-law, Alfred VanCott in 2018.
Marianna is survived by two sons, Vincent (Mindy) Battaglia and Pasquale (Gail) Battaglia; her daughter, Connie VanCott; grandchildren, Mark (Lisa) Battaglia, Sarah (Greg) Minix, Gentry Battaglia, Daniel (Karra) Battaglia, Elizabeth (Josh) Lennon, Jennifer (Bill) Nelepovitz and Rebecca VanCott; great-grandchildren, Dominique, Aden, Diana, Clare, Samuel, Lucy, Susanna, Alexander, Abigail, and Liam with 2 more on the way; her sister, Carmela Calderoni; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and her dog Minnie.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 6, 2023, from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. A Funeral Service in celebration of Marianna’s life will take place at 10:30 am on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at the funeral home, followed by entombment at Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
