Marianne (Horner) Wood's Obituary
Marianne (Horner) Wood, 91, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on October 7, 2021. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Claude M. and M. Virginia (Steves) Horner. Marianne graduated from Most Holy Rosary and attended Le Moyne College. She retired as an Insurance Agent from Antelmi Fusco & Cazzola in Liverpool. Marianne was a longtime communicant of Divine Mercy Parish in Central Square. She enjoyed traveling and above all, loved spending time with her family.
She is predeceased by her children, Paul J. Wood and Patricia J. Wood; her son-in-law, John J. Louise, Jr., and her siblings, V. Dawn Brown and John J. Horner.
Marianne is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Gerald H. Wood; her children, Mark D. (Pamela) Wood, M. Anne (Robert) Zysk, Michael J. (Nancy) Wood, Stephen P. (Maribeth) Wood and Lisa D. Louise; her daughter-in-law, Ruth Ann Wood; grandchildren, Gregory M. (Christina) Wood, Kristina M. (John) French, Amy L. (Chad) Schwartz, Katie J. (John) Sweeney, Andrew S. (Kathleen) Zysk, Danielle T. (Spencer) Duke, Tyler G. (Elizabeth) Zysk, Alana M. (Freide) Pineda, Olivia M. (Kyle) Guppy, Angela C. Wood, Meredith W. (Jason) Tanner and Patrick R. Wood; 20 great-grandchildren; her brother-in-law, L. Gerald Brown, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Funeral Mass in celebration of Marianne’s life will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Divine Mercy Parish in Central Square, NY, followed by interment at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery in Baldwinsville, NY. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Due to Gerald and other vulnerable family members, unvaccinated individuals must wear a facial covering.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Marianne’s name may be made to Divine Mercy Parish, 592 S. Main St., Central Square, NY 13036.
