Marie P. Amato's Obituary
Marie P. (Colangelo) Amato, 83, of North Syracuse, passed away Wednesday in St. Joseph's Hospital with her loving family by her side. Marie was a loving and giving wife, mother and grandmother. She was from a very large family and was loved by all who knew her. Marie and her husband Bill were great dancers and she enjoyed sharing her good times and laughter with everyone. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 58 years, William M. (Bill) Amato; two children, Daniel (Terry) Amato of Iowa and Marianne (Brian) Meigs of Cicero; four grandchildren, Natalie, Kristin, Nicholas and Jason along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted at 9:00 am Monday in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 10:00 am in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter church, where a funeral mass will be celebrated. Entombment will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd.( Corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY on Sunday from 1 to 4 pm. The Holy Name Society of Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church will recite its ritual at 12:30 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
