Marie E. (Sciandra) Gueth's Obituary
Marie E. (Sciandra) Gueth, 83, of Cicero, passed away Tuesday at Crouse Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Buffalo, NY, the beloved daughter of the late John and Theresa (Aquilina) Sciandra and dear sister of the late Ann Reinhold. Marie was a graduate from Daemen College (formerly Rosary Hill College) in Buffalo and worked as a medical technician for several years. She was also an active community volunteer, focusing on patient/family support programs and crisis counseling. Marie loved cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Marie was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Teresa Gueth; husband, Edward P. Gueth, Jr.; and brother-in-laws Richard Reinhold and Thomas Healy. Marie is survived by her five loving children, Paul E. Gueth of North Dakota, Barbara M. Gueth of Boston, MA, Michael J. Gueth of Syracuse, David J. (Holly) Gueth of Buffalo and Marianne J. Gueth of Syracuse; six grandchildren; sister-in-law, Jeanne Healy of Buffalo along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. A funeral mass in celebration of Marie's life will be held at 9:30 am on Saturday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 1317 Eggert Road (corner Main St), Amherst, NY. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cheektowaga, NY.
