Marie V. Williams' Obituary
Marie V. (Ambriati) Williams, 86, passed away peacefully with her family at a hospice center in Port Orange, Fl. on Wednesday, May 7, 2014. Marie was born in New York City, the eldest of 11 children. She was a nurse in World War II, where she met her late husband Bob Sr. who was a soldier she treated in the hospital. The two were soon married and had four children after finally settling in Syracuse. After retiring, her and Bob moved to the Daytona Beach area in 1978. They were married 40 years till his death in 1987.
Marie is survived by her four children, Bob Williams, Jr. of Liverpool, NY; Linda DeVries of North Syracuse, NY; Joyce Williams of Port Orange, Fl, and Angela Socha of New Smyrna Beach, Fl; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and her dog, Buddy. We know she is now comfortably resting with her husband Bob.
Family and friends are invited to attend a calling hour on Saturday, May 10, 2014 from 10:00 to 11:00 am followed by a funeral service in celebration of Marie's life immediately following at 11:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Entombment will be in Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum.
