Marie P. "Pat" (Wituszynski) Williams' Obituary
Marie P. “Pat” (Wituszynski) Williams of Liverpool, NY passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at home on March 24, 2022. Marie was born May 3rd, to Walter and Regina (Skrupa) Wituszynski in Syracuse, NY. She was incredibly proud of her Polish heritage and enjoyed making galumpkis for her family and special neighbors. Marie married Jack Williams in 1967. They had two children, Scott, and Heather. Marie spent most of her life selflessly caring and advocating for them. She poured her heart and soul into raising her children and always thought they were her greatest accomplishment. Then along came her two grandsons, Mason Jack, and Ian Parker, who filled her days with laughter, shenanigans, joy, and endless entertainment. In return, she spoiled them rotten as any grandma should. She loved puzzles and weather reports. She was an avid reader and a loyal patron of the Liverpool Public Library. She was happiest in her chair, reading a good book, with a bag of pretzels close by, and a college basketball game on TV. She was a passionate Syracuse basketball fan, always had Coach Boeheim’s back, and has been known to throw her shoes at the tv when she disagreed with a bad call. Attending the 2003 Final Four and watching her ‘Cuse team win the national championship was one of the highlights of her life. She loved to travel, especially with her family. She explored Europe, Australia and New Zealand, and Africa. She enjoyed meeting people in her travels and educating them on the average Syracuse snowfall totals.
Marie is predeceased by her brother Michael Wituszynski.
She is survived by her loving and very patient husband, Jack; her pride and joy son Scott; her favorite and only daughter Heather Williams-Mamiya; son in law Reid Mamiya; two grandsons Mason and Ian; brother and sister-in-law Robert and Jean Wituszynski; sister-in-law Nancy Wituszynski, her favorite niece Lynn (Wituszynski) Terry, nephews, several cousins, and numerous friends.
Private funeral services entrusted to THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Humane Association of Central New York, 4915 W Taft Rd, Liverpool, NY 13088.
