Marilyn Grace DiBenedetto's Obituary
Marilyn Grace DiBenedetto, 94, of Clay, and formerly of New York City and Merritt Island, FL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 22, 2024. Marilyn was born in Queens, NY to the late Frank and Emma (Millberger) Vogric. After retiring from a career in billing and office work, she went on to work for 25 years for Walmart in Florida. Marilyn loved tending to her garden, volunteering at her church, and was a big baseball fan starting with the Brooklyn Dodgers and then the New York Yankees. More than anything, she cherished time spent with her family and friends, especially her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sister and her brother-in-law, Eileen and Phil Guiliano and her special friend, Joe DiBenedetto.
Marilyn is survived by her son, Donald S. (Shelly) DiBenedetto; her grandchildren, Lynette (Chad) Maheu, Steven DiBenedetto, and Jamie Palmer; her great-grandchildren, Joseph, Natalie, and William Maheu; her brother, Frank (Carmela) Vogric; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Brookdale, Fayetteville for making Marilyn’s stay there as comfortable as possible.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, December 28, 2024 from 9:15 – 9:45 A.M. in Sacred Heart Church of Cicero, 8229 Brewerton Rd, followed by a funeral mass in celebration of Marilyn’s life at 10:00 A.M. in the church. She will be laid to rest in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Rt 57, Baldwinsville, NY.
