Marion Cangemi's Obituary
Marion (Graziano) Cangemi, 97, of Syracuse, passed away Sunday at her daughter's home in Cicero. She was born in Syracuse on December 26, 1914, the daughter of Peter and Catherine Graziano. She was the owner and operator of the Wee-Tot Shop, children's clothing store. She swam as an instructor at the YWCA over 7000 miles in the course of her adult life. She was predeceased by her husband of 72 years, Samuel Cangemi; four sisters, Mary Ferrito, Lina DaRin, Johanna Graziano and Frances Graziano and two brothers, Leonard Graziano and Peter Graziano, Jr. Marion is survived by two children, Mary Jo (Gary) Skelton of Cicero and Joseph (Amelia) Cangemi of Bowling Green, KY; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, a brother, Philip Graziano; a sister, Catherine "Dolly" Boccardo along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 11:00 am in Sacred Heart Church, Cicero, where a funeral mass will be celebrated. Private entombment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum, DeWitt. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Saturday from 9:00 to 10:00 am. Contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY.
