Mark A. Smith "Marky"'s Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the tragic passing of Mark Anthony Smith, “Marky,” 41, of Constantia NY, on April 9, 2026, surrounded by all who loved him.
Mark was born in Auburn, NY on February 11, 1985. He attended grade school in Camillus and continued his education in Central Square. Mark’s employment endeavors included Duke’s of Syracuse, Tompkins USA, Paul De Lima, and finally settling in at Ralph W. Earl where he enjoyed being an automation technician. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend whose life touched so many. Known for his heart of gold, sense of humor, loyalty, generosity, and quick wit, he filled the lives of those around him with light and laughter. Whether he was working, fishing, watching UFC, spending time with friends/family, or wreaking overall havoc, he lived his life with a spirit that will never be forgotten and can never be replaced.
Mark is predeceased by his mother, Michele A. Smith.
He is survived by his loving father, Brian Smith, his siblings, Colleen, Jacob, Stephanie (Roger) and his cherished nieces and nephews, Jacob, Anthony, Leila, Lilly, Dylan and great niece, Evalynn who adored their uncle deeply. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Mark’s life, though tragically cut short, was filled with an enormous amount of love, friendship, and laughter. He will be remembered for the energy he carried into every room, his kind soul, his infectious smile and the lasting impact he had on everyone who knew him.
Visitation will take place on Monday, April 13, 2026, from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Marky’s life at 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (Corner of Buckley Rd.) Syracuse, NY 13212. He will be laid to rest privately in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Warners.
Though he is gone from our sight, he will forever remain in our hearts.
