Mark was a wonderful and kind human being very passionate about his bakery! We enjoyed the baked goods and bread! Even when we moved out of the area, we did make it a point to stop by with our kids! Was sorry to hear that the bakery closed . A truly noble soul! Sorry for your loss
We lived in the area for nearly 20 years and always enjoyed our stops at the bakery. Whenever I stopped in to buy challah for my mother's Friday night dinners Mark would always toss in a couple of donuts! Mark was always friendly and kind. Very sorry to hear of his passing. To the loved ones of Mark Stefanski: This is message is from Scott Bodah, a person who stopped in the Brighton Bakery hundreds of times over the last 30 years or so and became friends with Mark. Mark was such a personable, friendly guy and loved to talk and did so every time I came in. We'd talk about a lot of different things, catch up on current events in our lives. Gosh I'm really going miss Mark because of this, such an old school friendly person. Well we were all blessed to have Mark for the time we did and we still have him in memory and spirit. I always remember the little white lie Mark told Father Kane at Saint Andrews church .
Mark played the organ for the church service . I stopped one day , because i heard him practicing.
He was playing of all things Elton John's funeral for a friend . Father Kane liked it and asked him what the name of the song was . He made up some story . I do not remember what was said , but i do know Funeral for a friend was played at mass more then once , because Father Kane liked it . I always wondered if anyone else picked up on that song ? Living in the neighborhood of the bakery, we got to enjoy the aroma of delicious baked goods and the kindness he showed every time we stopped by. His generosity to our boy scout troop will always be appreciated. He will be missed! Rest in peace.

I'm so used to seeing Mark every day as he made his deliveries to the Varsity so today just didn't seem right. I know that he took great pride in his work which is such a rarity -- truly an exceptional person. He will be missed by so many. Rest in peace, Mark and deepest sympathy to his loved ones.
