Marlene (Martin) Flesher's Obituary
Marlene (Martin) Flesher, 86 of Liverpool passed away August 29, 2022. She was a resident at Elderwood in Liverpool. She was born in Syracuse, NY, daughter of George and Bertha Martin and graduated from Central High School in Syracuse.
Marlene worked as the office manager at Swiss Village Apartments for many years. In 1989 she worked at Birchwood (now Elderwood in Liverpool) in the dietary department and then later moved to the laundry department, retiring in 2004.
Marlene loved to play bingo, and in her younger years she played with her friends a couple times a week. She also played Bingo and Pokeno weekly as a resident of Elderwood. Marlene loved to spend time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Melvin Flesher in 2005; her sister, Nancy May Martin in 1942 and her brother, Donald G. Martin in 1983.
Marlene is survived by her two children, Susan Schwenk (Gregg), and Kevin Flesher (Cari); four grandchildren; Austin, Tyler Hillary and Alyssa; 5 great grandchildren; Izabella, Izaiah, Zoey, Charley and Eliana; her brother-in-law, Jerome Flesher, and 3 nephews, Bill, David and Steve, along with many great nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will held on Friday, September 16, 2022 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm, immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Marlene’s life at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. She will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery.
