Martha J. (Neimeier) Guyder's Obituary
Martha J. (Neimeier) Guyder, 83, of North Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 29, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Herman and Mary (Farmer) Neimeier, she graduated from North Syracuse High School in 1958. Martha was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved her trips to the casino and camping at Wolf Lake in Canada.
Along with her parents, she is predeceased by her sisters, Helen Collins, and Shirley Difulio; daughter-in-law, Lisa Guyder; and sisters-in-law, Linda, and Mary Neimeier.
Martha is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Joseph F. Guyder; sons, Joseph Jr. (Patricia), James (Kelley), and Thomas Guyder; daughter, Melinda (Arnie) Merola; 4 grandchildren, Haley, and Nick Guyder, and AJ, and Gia Merola; brothers, Edward, and William Neimeier; brother-in-law, Ron Difulio; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to the staff at Liverpool Dialysis on Buckley Rd., and St. Joseph’s Hospital Unit 2-4, especially nurses Jill and Michele, for their loving care.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M., immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Martha’s life at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (Corner of Buckley Rd.) N. Syracuse, NY 13212. Martha will be laid to rest in North Syracuse Cemetery at a later date.
