Martha (Merriman) Walker's Obituary
Martha (Merriman) Walker, 81, of Mattydale, NY passed away April 5, 2025. She was born in Syracuse, NY to the late William V. and Mary (Aloi) Merriman. Martha was a graduate of Emma Willard School in Troy, NY and Syracuse University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
Martha’s employment included work in the Accounting Department of Ground Water Industries, followed by nine years as an accountant for Meals on Wheels of Syracuse. The Accounting Firm of Landers and Hamlin also hired Martha for tax preparation work.
Martha’s love of music led her to be a piano accompanist for choruses throughout her school years. Music, politics and football were Martha’s favorite pastimes.
Martha is survived by three children, Charles A. Walker IV, Stephanie Walker Miller and Jennifer Walker Killoran; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be private for the family with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt.
