Martin T. "Marty" Sedlock's Obituary
Martin T. “Marty” Sedlock, 85, of Liverpool, passed away February 5, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He was born in Duryea, PA, son of the late Martin F. and Kathryn M. (Barbush) Sedlock. Marty graduated from Wyoming Memorial High School. He was a proud U.S. Air Force veteran who served in the Korean Conflict and was Honorably Discharged as Staff Sergeant. Marty retired from Carrier Corp. after 37 dedicated years as a stockman/forklift operator. He was a longtime member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
Marty will be remembered for his great sense of humor, memorable stories, his ability to find a bargain in any store, but most of all, his unending love for his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Catherine (Jeanne) Hayko. Marty is survived by his loving wife of 57.5 years, Frances M. (Gurtowski) Sedlock; son, Martin A. Sedlock of Liverpool; daughter, Kathryn (James) Cusick, and grandchildren, Mary Beth, Brad, and Kristin Cusick, all of West Hanover Township, PA; son, Richard (Andrea) Sedlock, and grandchildren, Nicole and Sarah Sedlock, all of Liverpool.
A private viewing will be held at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME.
A funeral mass in celebration of Martin’s life will be conducted at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Beechwood Ave., Liverpool, NY. Interment with Military Honors will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt, NY.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested thoughts and prayers on his behalf.
