Martin S. Sweeney's Obituary
Martin S. Sweeney, 60, of Cicero, NY passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. He was a graduate of Le Moyne College and was the Director of Central Information Services and Information Technology Services at Hamilton College.
Marty was a talented musician who played at various venues with his good friend, Vinny, in the acoustic duo, Martin & Marks.
He was predeceased by his father, Richard Sweeney.
Marty leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 37 years, Elizabeth (Piasecki) Sweeney; son, Brian, daughter, Erin and his dog Jesse. Marty is also survived by his mother, Barbara and her husband John; brother, Greg (Jan); niece, Molly; sister-in-law, Susan Piasecki, an aunt, uncles and several cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Martin’s life at 12:00 p.m. in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
