Mary Ann (Barone) Caccamo

With sadness in our hearts, the family of Mary Ann (Barone) Caccamo, announce her passing on February 28, 2025. Mary Ann loved God through her Catholic faith. As a member of Epiphany Parish in Liverpool, NY, she was active in many capacities that included hosting a weekly Rosary Prayer Vigil in her home, as well as serving the Lord as a Eucharistic Minister. Born and raised in Struthers, Ohio, Mary Ann was the 13th child in a big Italian family. After growing up on a large family farm and graduating from Struthers High School, Mary Ann moved to Syracuse NY, where 2 of her sisters lived, to seek new opportunities. She began her career in logistics and accounting where she met and married the love of her life, Thomas Caccamo. Tom and Mary Ann made a beautiful home in Liverpool, NY that served as the gathering place for family and friends from near and far. Guests were always welcomed with warmth, comfort and of course a delicious meal. The most famous dinner events were always the annual Feast of the 7 Fishes on Christmas Eve. She would say that her house was plentiful with Gods’ Abundance and Love. Mary Ann had a love for children (nieces, nephews, Godchildren and those that stepped into her life throughout many decades). She loved each child that was in her life as if they were her own. Mary Ann is survived by Thomas Caccamo, her husband of 43 years, as well as many nieces, nephews, Godchildren, friends and loved ones. The end of an era: Mary Ann was predeceased by her parents, Ralph and Rose Barone and 12 siblings, Vincent James Barone (Millie), Clara Ferrara (Ralph), Jenny DeLauder (Gordon), Joseph Barone (Penny), Antoinette (Toni) Tallerino (Carmen), Alfred Barone (Ellen), Peter Barone, Elvira (Vera) Conti (Frank), Edward Barone (Gerry), Frank Barone (Sandra). Two siblings died as babies (Vincent and James). Mary Ann is also predeceased by two nephews: James Tallerino and David Barone. Mary Ann was filled with happiness and was always full of love, hugs and kisses, caring, and sharing. She lived a beautiful, Blessed life and we give thanks to God for taking her home. She will be very missed, as she leaves with us so many wonderful memories of her love. May she rest in the Peace and Love of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen. Calling Hours will be Sunday, March 9, 2025, from 1 to 4 PM at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (Corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY 13212. A funeral Mass in celebration of Mary Ann’s life will be held on Monday March 10, 2025, at 9:30 AM at Epiphany Parish (formerly St. Joseph the Worker Church) 1001 Tulip St. Liverpool, NY 13088, followed by entombment in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
