Mary G. Basile's Obituary
Mary G. (Romano) Basile, 92, of Syracuse, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Loretto surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Syracuse to the late Vincent and Lena (D’Aloia) Romano. Mary enjoyed traveling to Florida, but also loved coming back home to Syracuse. She mostly enjoyed spending time with her family around the table. She cherished her husband, children, their spouses and her grandchildren. She was also car crazy when she was young,she loved buying new cars.
Besides her parents, Mary is also predeceased by her son, John; son-in-law, Scott Donald; and 7 siblings.
Mary is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Anthony V. “Tony” Basile; her daughter, Celeste Donald, of FL; two grandchildren, Taylor Donald and Anthony Basile; daughter-in-law, Lynn Basile; brother-in-law, Frank Romano; sister-in-law, Marilyn Romano and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Funeral Mass in celebration of Mary’s life will be held at 9:00 A.M. in Blessed Sacrament Church on Monday, September 25, 2017.
