Mary (Andaloro) Benedetti's Obituary
Mary (Andaloro) Benedetti, 86, of Liverpool, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, with her family at her side. She was born in Syracuse and lived in Liverpool for 52 years. A graduate of North High School and CCBI; Mary retired from Excelsior Peerless Insurance Company after 35 years of service. She was a communicant of Christ the King Church in Bayberry.
Mary took great pride in her grandchildren and was very family oriented. She was known as a great cook and baker of delicious apple pies, hosting many family parties and opened her home to all at anytime. Mary loved her vacations to the Thousand Islands and Jersey Shore.
She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Nancy (DePasquale) Andaloro; siblings, Nancy, Sebastian, Salvatore, Maria and Albert.
Mary is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Geni Anthony Benedetti; her devoted son, Gene Benedetti of Cazenovia, Patricia Jacobs Benedetti, and their children, Mario and Antonio; two sisters, Carmella Porpiglio of East Syracuse and Rose O’Hern of Neptune, NJ; her brother, John (Santa) Andaloro of Cazenovia, along with many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank all the family members and many friends who were a tremendous help to Mary during her illness.
A calling hour will be held from 9:00 am – 10:00 am on Friday, March 11, 2016 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Mary’s life at 11:00 am in Christ the King Church, Bayberry. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
