Mary C. (DiBello) Betts' Obituary
Mary C. (DiBello) Betts, 90, of Syracuse, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2016 at James Square. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Sam and Cosima (Ernandes) DiBello. Mary retired from Syracuse China in 1991 after 10 years of service. She loved to dance and cook and made the best homemade vegetable beef soup. Mary was a loving, happy, outgoing mother, grandmother and dear friend who will be truly missed.
She was predeceased by her brother, Angelo DiBello and sister, Anne Zingaro.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Roberta “Bobbie” Betts of Syracuse; her son, Edward (Cindy) Betts of Syracuse; her granddaughter, Melissa Betts of Syracuse; her sister, Julia Fiore of Florida, along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
Mary's family would like to thank the entire staff at James Square, especially the LPN'S and CNA'S of 2 South.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Mary’s life at 10:00 am in St. Margaret’s Church. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
