Mary E. Biscotti's Obituary
Mary E. (Bucci) Biscotti, 94, passed away at her home on August 13th. Mary was the devoted mother of three and proud Nana of four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was born on May 26, 1916, the daughter of Maria Teresa and Zefferino Bucci. Mary was a graduate of North High School and CCBI and attended Syracuse University for two years. She was a member and past officer of Onondaga County Legal Secretaries Association and served as an officer of the Onondaga County Women's Republican Club. Mary was a legal secretary for close to forty years and an avid fund raiser for St. Peter's Church. In 1967 while she was working in the Law Department of the City of Syracuse, she was designated by Mayor William Walsh to join the delegation traveling to Rome, Italy to present to Pope Paul VI a check from the Italian Flood Relief Committee of Syracuse and Onondaga County to assist those suffering from devastating floods in Florence and other parts of Italy. Mary was predeceased by her daughter, Linda M. Tucci on March 5, 2004. She is survived by her son, Leonard M. Biscotti of N. Syracuse; her daughter, Sister Marita of the Carmelite Monastery in Beacon, NY; her son-in-law, George J. Tucci Sr. of Cicero and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 9:15 am in the Thomas J. Pirro Funeral Home where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Rose of Lima Church at 10:00 am. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 7 pm.
