Mary L. "Nard" (Cappuccilli) Paratore 's Obituary
Mary L. “Nard” (Cappuccilli) Paratore is in the loving hands of our Lord. She passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Syracuse Home. She was born on Tipperary Hill to Antoinette and Leopold Cappuccilli, graduated from Central High School and worked for several years as head bookkeeper at Chappell’s Department Store. While raising her three daughters, Mary and her husband started Peter A. Paratore Construction Corp. She enjoyed many years of golf at Tuscorara Country Club as well as bowling and tennis. An avid sports fan, she enjoyed watching all sports and attended Syracuse University football games for many years. Family, however, was her most treasured accomplishment. She never missed a school event, recital or volunteering whenever she was needed. Then along came grandchildren and it began again, but now also included attending and cheering at baseball, football and basketball games.
Besides her parents, Mary was also predeceased by her loving husband of 69 years, Peter Paratore in 2016; her sister Josephine, and her brothers, Anthony and Peter.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Patricia (Robert) Cashier, Nancy (Casey) Wilson and Mary Jo Downey; her five grandchildren, Jude, Robert (Hillary), Casey (Wilma), Andrew, Jason (Andrea) and Kimberly. Also surviving are four great-grandchildren, Alison, Megan, Justus and Hailey; two brothers, Rocco and Alfred; many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Syracuse Home for their kind and loving care.
