Mary Cartini's Obituary
Mary (Garafalo) Cartini, 89, of Syracuse, passed away on Friday at James Square. She was born in Italy and was a communicant of St. Daniel's Church. Mary worked in retail for most of her life, including D'Jimas Furs for several years. She supported children from "Children International" and was very dedicated to caring for her family as they were the joy of her life. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Cartini in 1974, her sister, Angelina Lentricchia and her brothers, James and Anthony Garafalo. Mary is survived by her four children, Anne (Steven) Annicharico of N. Syracuse, Joanne (Peter) Aspesi of Smithfield, NC, Marianne (Barry) Vaughn of N. Syracuse and Roxanne (Brian) Stage of Liverpool; seven grandchildren, Michelle and Brian Annicharico, PJ Aspesi, Kristen Vaughn, Christina Aspesi, Joseph Vaughn and Colby Stage; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 8:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 9:00 am in St. Daniel's Church, where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Thursday from 4 to 7 pm.
