Mary D. Caruso's Obituary
Mary D. (DeYulio) Caruso, 80, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday at her home. She was born in Syracuse, the daughter of Joseph and Ida DeYulio. Mary was a member of St. Daniel's parish and the Lyncourt Seniors. She was Past President and lifetime member of the John Venditti Post #1 Italian American War Veterans Ladies Auxiliary. She was also Past State Department President of the Italian American War Veterans. Mary is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Peter Caruso; five children, Pamela A. (John) Koagel of Baldwinsville, Richard A. (Sharon) Caruso of Minoa, Steven J. Caruso of St. Petersburg, FL., Rev. Daniel M. Caruso, Pastor of Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church and Cindy A. Caruso of Syracuse; four grandchildren, Matthew Caruso, Nancy Caruso, Jonathan Koagel and Jennifer Koagel; two brothers, Frank (Joan) DeYulio of Syracuse and Anthony (Beverly) DeYulio of Camillus; two sisters, Lucy DelVecchio and Jennie Gillette, both of Syracuse and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday at 9:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 10:00 am in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Contributions in Mary's memory may be made to Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church.
