Mary R. Cerio's Obituary
Mary R. Cerio, 85, of Liverpool, passed away Friday, March 1, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was born in Girardville, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late George and Angeline Dateno. Mary was an Accounting Clerk with Nationwide Insurance for 20 years, retiring in 1991. She was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church. Mary was also a member of the St. Therese Society and Salina Seniors. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, John N. Cerio; two sons, Mark D. Cerio of Southern California and John T. (Leslie) Cerio of Hingham, MA; a daughter, Judi A. Cerio of Liverpool; three grandchildren, Garbriella, Maria and Julia; two sisters, Bernadine Dateno of Southern, CA and Carmella Dateno of Liverpool; two brothers, Frank Dateno of Lakeland, FL and William (Betty-Ann) Dateno of Springfield, VA; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and her special friend, Rose Leonard of Pennsylvania.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 9:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 10:00 am in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
