Mary Council's Obituary
Mary Council, 60, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully at Francis House on February 1, 2022. Mary was born in Syracuse on May 6, 1961. She was a social butterfly who loved spending time with family and friends, especially her grandkids. Mary was often seen outside enjoying nature while going for walks. She also enjoyed spending time with her beloved cats, Brandy and Monster.
Mary is predeceased by her son, Matthew Council and her father, Vincent Gazzara.
Mary is survived by her children, Justin (Ashley) Council, Jordan Council, Brandon (Tiffany) Council, Catarina (Chase) Tassin; grandchildren, Stella, Luna and Keridwen; mother, Mary Ann (Fragola) Gazzara; siblings, Vinnie, and Debbie (Roger), as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A calling hour will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022, from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm, immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Mary’s life at noon at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (Corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse NY. Mary will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery.
