Mary (Morelli) Cucinotta's Obituary
Mary (Morelli) Cucinotta, 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 25, 2019. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Mario and Emanuela (D’Agostino) Morelli. Mary worked for the Liverpool School District as a Librarian Assistant for several years and was also employed for 10 years with NYS Department of Taxation. She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society at Our Lady of Pompei and a past member of the Salina Seniors. Mary enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and loved spending time with family and friends, especially her beloved grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, John A. Cucinotta and her brother, Alfred Morelli.
Mary is survived by her son, Dr. John J. (Jamie) Cucinotta of Manlius, NY and her daughter, Linda Cerio (Daniel Loughlin) of Liverpool; seven grandchildren, Jason, Jim (Jennifer), Rachel (Russell), Chelsea, Kyle (Stephanie), Brendan (Emily) and Jared; three great-grandchildren, Parker, Max and Grayson; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A calling hour will be held on Monday, January 28, 2019 from 8:45 am – 9:45 am at Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, 301 Ash St., Syracuse, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Mary’s life at 10:00 am. Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, DeWitt.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 201 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
