Mary "Dolores" (DiDomizio) Scalzo's Obituary
Mary “Dolores” (DiDomizio) Scalzo, 89, of Syracuse passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 10, 2021. She was born in Bridgeport, CT to the late Stephen and Mary (Ciccone) DiDomizio. Dolores enjoyed gardening and trips to the casino, above all, spending time with her family and friends, especially her beloved grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Frederick F. Scalzo, Jr. and several siblings.
Dolores is survived by her son, Frederick Scalzo, III; daughters, Mary (Scott) Leclerc and Adele Scalzo; grandchildren, Frederick (Lindsay) IV, Nicole (Ron) Taylor and Louisa Leclerc; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Ann Barker; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours will be held from 11 am – 12 pm on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Dolores’ life at 12 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse. Entombment will follow in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Baldwinsville.
