Mary (Carbone) DiMaio's Obituary
Mary (Carbone) DiMaio, 88, of Mattydale, passed away Saturday surrounded by her family, born in Mt. Jewett, PA.; the daughter of the late Rocco and Mary (DeMarte) Carbone, she spent most of her life in Syracuse. Mary worked at Nettleton Shoe Factory for 23 years and loved to cook, bake and spend time with her family. She was a devoted wife of 55 years to her husband Leo, and they were inseparable.
Mary was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Leo DiMaio; her sister and brother-in-law, Josephine and John Marnell; 2 step-sisters, Cecilia Lockwood and Rose Allen.
She is survived by her brother, Bruno Carbone of Syracuse and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services for Mary will be held on Tuesday at Noon, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Margaret’s Church at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Family and Friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO, JR. FUNERAL HOME 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley) N. Syracuse, on Tuesday October 27, 2015, from 10:30 AM to Noon.
