Mary (Condiloro) Dixon's Obituary
Mary (Condiloro) Dixon, of Camillus, passed away Monday, April 18, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was 86 years old. Mary was born in Syracuse, graduated from St. John the Evangelist School, and attended Le Moyne College. She worked for many years at Onondaga Supply Co. and retired from Syracuse Heat Treating Co. Throughout her life, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, supporting church and school activities, and watching sports, especially those played by children and grandchildren. She will be remembered most, by all who knew her, for her extraordinary generosity and acts of kindness. Mary was a faithful parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.
She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, James A. Dixon, and her sister, Angela Condiloro.
Mary is survived by her two children, Jim (Donna) Dixon of Gaithersburg, MD., and Darlene Kerr of Skaneateles; six grandchildren, Kimberly (Erick) Summers of Germantown, MD., Kelly Dixon of Alexandria, VA., Kaye Kerr (Jake Balcerzak) of Syracuse, Craig Kerr of New York, NY, Melanie (Scott) Melson and Alex Dixon of Gaithersburg, MD.; as well as six great-grandchildren.
The family extends its heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff of St. Camillus Residential Health for their compassion and exceptional care.
A funeral mass in celebration of Mary's life will be held on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 259 East Onondaga St., Syracuse, NY. Family and friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd., (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 259 East Onondaga St. Syracuse, NY 13202, or St. Camillus Residential Health, 813 Fay Rd. Syracuse, NY 13219.
