Mary Jane (Dowding) Salato's Obituary
Mary Jane (Dowding) Salato, 82, of Mattydale, passed away August 30, 2025, at Upstate University Hospital. Mary Jane treasured and lived for her family, which includes; children, Brenda Rodriguez, Jeff Keenan, Erin Keenan, daughter-in-law Michelle Keenan; grandchildren, Lauren Rodriguez, Marisa (Matt) Pollinger, Morgan Keenan, Jake Keenan; great-grandchildren, who called her GiGi, Russell and Daphne Pollinger; and siblings, Tom Dowding, and Nancy Umbel. Mary Jane also had a special connection with her stepchildren and their families, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins that she loved dearly.
The family would like to thank the Nurses and Staff of the 5th floor including Carrie, Marissa, Stephen and Jessa, who took special care of her and Dr. Mary J. Cunningham, and her staff, who went out of their way to help.
Besides her loving husband Louis, Mary Jane is also predeceased by her son, Jeffrey Keenan.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M., at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. She will be laid to rest with her husband Louis J. Salato in North Syracuse Cemetery, 555 South Bay Road, North Syracuse, NY 13212.
