Mary Ellen (Baulig) Stevens' Obituary
Mary Ellen (Baulig) Stevens, 74, of Liverpool, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Mary Ellen was born in Cortland to the late Anthony and Eleanor (Brunner) Baulig and worked over 40 years for the Syracuse Post-Standard. She was selflessly dedicated to her loved ones; her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and her beloved grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Mary Ellen is predeceased by her husband, John in 2013 and her sister, Marilyn Baulig in 2018.
She is survived by her devoted daughters, Melanie (Daniel) Reynolds of Liverpool and Melinda Stevens of New Brunswick, NJ; three cherished grandchildren, Abigail Reynolds, David Spence II and Declan Reynolds; a beloved sister, Ann (Harold) Winderl; along with many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
In accordance with NYS guidelines on social distancing and 25% capacity, family and friends may call on Thursday, June 18, 2020 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Road (corner of Buckley Road), North Syracuse, followed by a funeral mass in celebration of Mary Ellen’s life at 11:30 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church, North Syracuse.
