To Mary's Family:
What a wonderful person Mary was. I was the Herald-Journal paperboy for her and Tom in the mid-1950's. Together they were a wonderful models of devoted spouses and parents. They complemented each other well. Tom was quiet and Mary was the extrovert. Mary knew I loved Italian food and invited me to the family spaghetti dinner. I never forgot that.
After I returned to Syracuse after being away 35 years, I cruised through the old neighborhood and saw Mary and Tom in the yard. I stopped and visited with both, had a lot of laughs about the 'old days.' Several times more I visited, including after Tom had passed away.
I can honestly and proudly say that the Fantacones were one of my favorites.
God Bless both Mary and Tom. May they eternally rest in peace. They are together again at the Home God had ready for them.
Sincerely,
Jim Dooher
