Mary E. (Tagliamonte) Felice's Obituary
Mary E. (Tagliamonte) Felice, 93, of Camillus, passed away Saturday surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born on October 4, 1921, grew up on Syracuse’s North Side and graduated from North High School. A woman of strong family values, Catholic faith, and Italian heritage, she was a great cook, stylish dresser and avid reader. Mary was employed by E.W. Edwards & Son and Chappell’s Department Store. She was a former member of St. Michael’s Altar-Rosary Society. Summers were spent with family on Tully Lake and upon retirement, wintered in South Florida.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Joseph Felice in 2007; two sisters, Josephine Bucci and Alice Riccelli.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Lucille Felice (Joseph) Chopek of Plantation, FL and Joanne (David) Giarrusso of Camillus; three grandchildren, Paul (Grace), Ryan (Katie) and Marcus Giarrusso; two great-grandchildren, Carmela and Giovanni Giarrusso.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Mary’s life at 10:00 am in St. Michael’s Church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Friday, August 28, 2015 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
