Mary Ellen and my parents shared a long and close friendship for many years. I will forever be grateful that she was there for Ralph and my family during my mother’s final illness. Mary Ellen has been a great friend and a comfort to Ralph, for many years. He always looked forward to her many cards and letters, as well as their occasional video chats. I am adding a picture of the two of them at Mary Ellen’s 90th birthday celebration.
I see his sadness upon her passing, yet he is comforted by the thought that he had such a good friend.
I know she is in a better place But I will miss our chats. I was so glad she could make it my going away picnic when we moved to Florida. She was a wonderful lady and I was glad that she volunteered to be my Chaplain in Eastern Star. Many wonderful memories of her - I was so sorry when COVID hit and we were not able to continue our knitting lessons. Although I can now knit a mitten I know I will never be able to match hers. She was a truly wonderful lady and a blessing to all who knew her.

I did not know Mary Ellen Hamilton. But I know her daughter Marilyn. She is kind, caring, helpful, and has gresat understanding for people. All those traits she got from her parents. May you and your family have peace during this time.
