Mary E. "Marilyn" (Hoffsher) Cantello's Obituary
Mary E. “Marilyn” (Hoffsher) Cantello, 92, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was born in Syracuse to the late John and Frances (Klein) Hoffsher and attended Assumption High School. Marilyn was a parishioner of St. Daniel Church in Lyncourt and worked for many years with Syracuse China. More than anything she was proud of her family and loved spending time with them.
In addition to her parents, Marilyn is predeceased by her husband, Joseph in 1988.
She is survived by her daughters, Louise (Patrick) Clark and Elaine (Daniel) Finnigan; her grandchildren, Joseph (Mindy) Clark, Daniel Clark, Tricia, Anthony (Stefanina) Crisafulli, Marie (James) Morrison, Lauren Finnigan, Justin and Deanna (Khiem) Nguyen; her great-grandchildren, Justin, Antonio, Antonino, Carmella, Elaina, Angelina, Ava and Lorenzo; her feline friend, Mia; along with several nieces, nephews and a sister-in-law.
A funeral mass in celebration of Marilyn’s life will be held on Monday, March 14, 2022 at 10 am in St. Daniel Church, Lyncourt. She will be laid to rest with her husband, Joseph in Assumption Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Comfort Care Unit at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
