Mary (Barnello) Holcomb's Obituary
Mary (Barnello) Holcomb, of North Syracuse, passed away Sunday at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Syracuse, the daughter of Angelo C. and Gloria (LaManna) Barnello Sr. Mary worked for the Lunch Box Restaurant, The Breakfast Depot and was an independent contractor for the Syracuse Newspapers in recent years. She was an avid Boston Red Sox and Syracuse University fan. Mary loved to cook and have family outings.
She was predeceased by her mother, Gloria (LaManna) Barnello in June, 2012. Mary is survived by her loving husband, David A. Holcomb; three children, Dawn M. (Robert) Smith of Syracuse, Andrew "AJ" (Ann-Marie) Lipchak of Annapolis, MD and Michele L. Lipchak of North Syracuse; three grandchildren, Korrina, Ryan and Christian; her father, Angelo C. Barnello, Sr. of Liverpool; three brothers, Giacomo "Jack" (Beth) Barnello of Millbrook, NY, Anthony (Dawn) Barnello of Constantia, NY and Angelo (Marie) Barnello, Jr. of Liverpool; two sisters, Annie (Terrell) Andry of Louisiana and Angela (Jerry) Leggett of Tampa, FL along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:45 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 12.00 pm in St. Matthew's Church, East Syracuse. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum, Dewitt. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Mary's family would like to thank Dr. Bingham and his staff at CNY Hematology/Oncology for their loving care.
