Mary Jane (Marino) Bruno's Obituary
Mary Jane (Marino) Bruno, 89, of Syracuse, passed away at Crouse Hospital surrounded by her family and friends on Wednesday, December 3, 2014. She was born in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Joseph and Sarah (Julian) Marino. Mary Jane was a member of the St. Jude Society and Legion of Mary at Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards and especially loved wintering in Florida.
She was predeceased by her husband, Michael M. Bruno in 2004.
Mary Jane is survived by her two daughters, Michele Gleason (James Crilley) of Florida and Kathleen Bruno of Liverpool; two grandchildren, Patrick (Kathy) Cowen and Sara Spillane; two great-grandchildren, Chase and Devin Cowen; brother-in-law, John (Angela) Bruno of Camillus, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 am on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Mary Jane’s life at 10:30 am in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday, December 8, 2014 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
